Mobile Registration Services

The Mobile Registration and Card Issuance Service is available to Institutions, Organizations, Households and Individuals for a minimum of seven (7) Ghanaian applicants.

The service covers the following:

Card Replacement

Update of Personal Information

Nationality Update

NIA shall conduct a Site Survey on the date of registration, at the designated premises of the institution, household or preferred location before it sets up a Registration Centre. The Survey will ensure a successful and efficient registration exercise as follows:

Signal – to ensure that the strength of the network signals at the designated premises or alternative location is strong and stable to avoid interrupted registration process.

Environment/Workspace – to ensure that the space allocated by the institution, household, group or individual is conducive and logistics provided are adequate for the registration.

Confirmation of List of Applicants – to confirm the list of applicants forwarded by the institution, household, group or individual to NIA.

Registration Requirements

Mandatory requirements for Ghana Card registration

A Birth Certificate issued by the Births and Deaths Registry of Ghana; or

A valid Ghana Passport issued by Government of Ghana; or

Evidence of acquired citizenship such as Naturalization or Registration Certificates.

Digital Address Code of your residence

Additional Requirements

Applicants are also required to bring along the following Government-issued identity cards or document if they possess any of them. Please note that these cards or documents do not determine an applicant’s eligibility for a Ghana Card

A practising or retired professional teacher (including principals, headmasters & headteachers)

A practicing or retired licensed Professional e.g. doctor, nurse, lawyer, accountant, engineer, architect etc.

A serving or retired Clergyman

An Imam

A Catechist

A serving or retired member of the security services including the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Prison Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, NIB, Customs, Excise and Preventive Service of the Ghana Revenue Service and National Security

A current or past Member of Parliament, an Assembly or Unit Committee

Mobile Registration Services

GHC300.00 per person for the registration activity. Please this fee excludes the cost of PINs for Update of Personal Information, Nationality Update and Card Replacement services

The purchase of PINs for the Update of Personal Information, Nationality Update and Card Replacement Services to be made at a CalBank branch or using USSD code *771# or CalBank App

Logistics fee for site survey and movement of NIA personnel and equipment to the designated premises or preferred location

Logistics Fees for Institutional Registration

All logistics fees are calculated based on the distance between the NIA Head Office located at No. 8 Nelson Mandela Avenue, off Gulf House Street, South Legon, Accra and the applicants' designated premises or preferred location.

There will be a fixed charge of GHC500.00 for every additional 50 kilometres travelled beyond the first 100 kilometres.

Logistics fees are calculated using Google Maps with NIA Head Office on Nelson Mandela Avenue, Accra as the starting point.

Please Note

Kindly ensure that the name of the institution is stated as the depositor when paying fees and charges. However, where the request is not made by an institution, the name of the focal person should be stated as the depositor.

Scanned copies of all pay-in slips/evidence of payment should be shared with NIA via email at mobileregistration@nia.gov.gh for verification and validation purposes.

A separate application and arrangement must be made for requests that fall outside the initially agreed numbers to be registered.

Any additional request on the day of registration, to increase the number of persons to be registered during the registration exercise, should be made no later than 12 noon on the registration day. Any request made after 12 noon will not be honoured.

All payments for additional numbers must be made (with receipts evidencing payments) before the additional request is honoured. All payments made to NIA are non-refundable.

Post-Registration Activities

The registration process aims at printing every applicant’s Ghana Card instantly. However, in the event that applicants’ Ghana Cards cannot be printed instantly, arrangements will be made with the institution to have the said cards printed and issued to applicants at a later date. The details of applicants whose cards are not printed instantly will be shared with the focal person and followed up through a Client Service portal.

At the end of the registration exercise, the institution, household, group or individual will be requested to complete NIA Customer Satisfaction Survey Form online to evaluate the registration exercise in general.

NIA will share a report on the exercise with the focal person for auditing and customer service purposes.

After downloading and filling this form, submit it, together with the list of applicants to be registered via email to mobileregistration@nia.gov.gh
