NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY
PRESS RELEASE
The National Identification Authority (NIA) announces for the information of the general public that, effective 1. July 2021, it has temporarily suspended operations at its Regional and District offices pending the completion of recruitment of permanent staff-a process being assisted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Office of Head of Civil Service (OHCS). Applicants who could not go to the Regional and District offices for their cards before the suspension will have the cards issued to them when the offices are re-opened for business.
NIA registration will continue at all thirty-four (34) branches of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Registrar General Department (RGD) nationwide where NIA has co-located its services.
Thank you.
Signed
Ag. Head, Corporate Affairs Abudu Abdul-Ganiyu
