Online Registration and Booking Process for Ghanaians Living Abroad

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has outlined a simple online registration and booking process to help you get started from the comfort of your home.

STEP 1- Start the application process at register.nia.gov.gh

STEP 2 – Create an account with a valid email address and take note of your application ID (eg. NI-………….)

STEP 3 – Proceed to complete the form and upload the necessary documents, eg Birth certificate, Valid Ghana passport.

STEP 4 – Submit and make payment.

STEP 5 – Book an appointment from the portal, for a virtual interview at a date convenient for you, (Interview link will be sent to the email address you provided)

STEP 6 – Expect a QR code in your email after a successful interview and book an appointment for your biometrics to be captured at your preferred GHANA MISSION OFFICE.

NB: Your Ghana Card is printed within 30 minutes, however there can be delays due to technical challenges.
